The Challenge
BP Archerfield is a major high-traffic truckstop operating continuously with busy food service, retail refrigeration and customer areas that could not tolerate extended downtime. The existing air conditioning systems, refrigeration plant, cold rooms and kitchen exhaust infrastructure had all reached end of life and required full replacement, creating a complex live-site challenge where multiple critical systems had to be demolished and rebuilt without disrupting ongoing operations in a demanding commercial environment.
Our Solution
Shelair delivered a staged full-site mechanical rebuild that removed all outdated refrigeration, HVAC and kitchen exhaust infrastructure and replaced it with modern commercial-grade systems designed for reliability and performance. The project included construction of a new cool room, freezer room and drinks cool room, replacement of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems, installation of a new kitchen hood and exhaust setup, cleaning of existing sheet metal ductwork, full air balancing across the site and replacement of all drain piping, resulting in a complete end-to-end upgrade of essential mechanical services.
